Assignment for first class (Tuesday, August 21)
Read chapters 1 and 2 (pp. 3-64) in Writing and Analysis in the Law. (You may skip over the exercises for now, although we may discuss some of them in class.)
There are several required textbooks for this course; Writing and Analysis in the Law is the only one that you will need for the first few weeks. If you don't yet have that book, you can at least get started on the reading assignment using this excerpt (pages 3-23).
